Redeemer Preschool is a non-profit, non-sectarian preschool and enrichment program that was founded in 1994 by the Church of the Redeemer, a member of the California Episcopal Diocese. Located in the Glenwood neighborhood in San Rafael, the preschool provides quality early education in an inspiring and nurturing environment for children from two to six years of age.
Our curriculum encompasses key areas of development including children’s well being and physical development, social and emotional development, cognitive development and language. It also incorporates literacy, mathematics, science, nature, music, movement, creative arts and general knowledge. We use a balanced approach, acknowledging that children learn from both child-initiated and adult-guided experiences. Our teachers are focused on fostering children’s development and producing meaningful and lasting learning.
In March 2010, Redeemer Preschool was accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). This is our commitment to providing high-quality services for our children and families. We have fully met the 10 NAEYC Standards which are based on the latest research on the education and development of young children.
